At the middle of this week, works shall commence on the Velodrome and the preparation of the grounds where the Recreation Club is to hold its sports. The velodrome, according to knowledgeable persons who have viewed the plans, will be of the finest construction seen to this day, and if to this is joined the pleasant and beautiful nature of the site and its proximity to the town, it is beyond doubt that the amusements projected by the Recreation Club will command the attention of those well-versed in such spectacles.
