The Huelva Recreation Club is to establish its projected velodrome adjacent to the San Cristóbal road, on the land situated between the railway line and the aforementioned road belonging to the Rio Tinto Company, which has generously lent it to the Club for this purpose. This is most excellent; the location could not be better suited for such a purpose, and it further deprives certain individuals of the pretext to gossip and file… patriotic reports. Whether the land originally intended for the velodrome belonged to the Town Council or the naval authorities was of little consequence, given that its ownership is a matter of litigation and that, as the site is unoccupied, no harm was done by establishing the velodrome there on a provisional basis; however, the matter is now settled without further ado, and those who believe they can tarnish the centenary and prejudice Huelva by placing obstacles in the way of everything have once again been thwarted.
