Valverde del Camino is a town that counts 6,038 inhabitants and serves as the head of the judicial district. Its urban area consists of 1,272 buildings, organized into spacious and well-presented streets. Within its municipal boundaries are located the hamlets of Campanario, Corte Elvira, Los Cristos, El Cuco, El Cuervo, and El Garduño.

Geografía y Producción–Its territory is mountainous, situated in one of the lower foothills of the Sierra Morena, which makes it drier and more sterile in comparison to the areas of Aracena or Aroche. The hills of Valverde serve as a division between the basins of the Odiel and Tinto rivers. Despite its aridity, it possesses various agricultural productions, pine forests, grain crops, and good pastures for livestock. It stands out for being an exceptionally rich mineral zone, housing important mining operations that determine the wealth of the province.

Economía e Industria–In the textile industry, there exists a prominent manufacture of woolen fabrics. Regarding mining, the judicial district of Valverde is, alongside that of Aracena, the area of greatest mining development in the province. Within its jurisdiction are located mines of great renown such as those of Minas de Río-Tinto, as well as La Poderosa and Peña de Hierro. In matters of commerce, the town celebrates its annual evening festival or fair on the 15th of August.

Administración y Justicia–As the head of the judicial district, Valverde houses the principal administrative offices of the area. The Treasury Administration is in the charge of Mr. José Vizcaíno de Mora. Justice is administered by the Judge of Instruction, Mr. José Martín Barrios, and the Municipal Judge, Mr. Antonio Vizcaíno. The district possesses several lawyers, such as Mr. Gregorio Arrayás Vizcaíno and Mr. Antonio Vizcaíno Mora, and various procurators. The Land Registrar is Mr. Gregorio Mora y Vizcaíno. Political representation is held by the Member of Parliament for the district of Valverde, His Excellency the Count of Aguiar.

Infraestructura y Servicios–Regarding transport, it possesses a railway station on the line from Buitrón to Zalamea and San Juan del Puerto. Furthermore, it is connected by a second-class road and lies at a distance of 39.004 kilometres from the capital, Huelva. In the realm of health and education, it disposes of a hospital. In the educational sphere, the primary instruction teachers are Mrs. Mercedes Borrero, Mr. Bernardino Iglesias, and Mr. Manuel Delgado. The parish priest of the town is Mr. Vicente Linares.
