Cheerful notes.
He who does not find, during the upcoming Carnival in Huelva, whether he be young or old, his own corner in which to enjoy them, may God grant them to him for his good. All the circles and societies of the capital are preparing to cast out the harsh winter and the Saharan air with splendid masked balls, which are the finest enticements known to date. It is useless to resort to Piñata powders.
The Mercantile and Agricultural Circle is preparing the celebration of three balls on the 8th, 9th, and 15th of February, as we are informed regarding Piñata. It will give another three for the little ones on Monday, Tuesday, and Piñata Sunday.
The Hotel Colón will give two grand balls which, like all those held there, promise to be of the high standard it maintains, and there will be a double orchestra. It may be said that these balls will have no interruption in their continuity. They will take place on Carnival Monday and Piñata Sunday.
The Artisans’ Casino is preparing another three, and the Industrial Circle an equal number. In these latter ones, balls for children will also be given.
This long series of masked balls will be inaugurated by the “Recreative Club,” celebrating one on Saturday the 31st, the eve of Carnival.
To dancing, then!
