Cricket in Huelva. HUELVA V. RIO-TINTO. On the 2nd of November a cricket match between the teams of Rio-Tinto and Huelva was played on the grounds of the latter (next to the Gas Factory), and as will be seen below, the game resulted in favor of Rio Tinto. Dr. Morrison displayed great judgement in his play, and when Mr. Roberts joined him, they played in such a style, that seemed to puzzle both bowlers and fielders. The batting of Mr. Reynolds in both innings was what I consider very good. The playing of the Huelva team in their first innings, was a careful cricket. Dr. Mackay and Mr. Garcia played with good judgement. The bowling of Dr. Mackay all through the match was, I understand from the members of the Rio Tinto team, very good. After the match a splendid dinner was provided by the Huelva team at the English Club (Calle Odiel). After the dinner, the concert commenced, and Mr. Dowling entertained his friends with his wonderful powers as a ventriloquist.
