The Huelva Hotel Project in London

(As published in La Provincia)

Yesterday, the plans and budgets for a beautiful and sumptuous Hotel, surrounded by gardens, were sent to London to Mr. Sundheim. It is a truly magnificent work—an idea Mr. Sundheim has held for years with particular affection and pursued with his characteristic energy and perseverance.

This work is destined not only to be one of the principal ornaments of Huelva but will contribute significantly to its prosperity, as it will attract foreign capitalists and prominent businessmen to our city. In London, its construction will be debated and decided this very week; we harbour the confidence that the decision will be favourable and that very soon we shall see this work realised—a project which, just a few years ago, would have seemed like a dream or madness to the residents of Huelva.

We are withholding further details on this project until we receive news that construction is to begin. For today, we will only say that the project and plans created by Mr. José Santamaría, and the designs for the ceiling and wall paintings by Mr. Matarredona, are in great taste and truly artistic; this is the unanimous opinion of all who have examined them.
