The Huelva Gas Company Limited, under the management of Mr. C. Adam, has the pleasure to announce that the inauguration of the public and private gas lighting system will take place throughout the month of June.

Those who wish to contract this lighting system may do so by contacting Mr. Gabriel Jeandelice, Placeta 6, who will inform you about supply conditions. In the lamp shop situated at this address there is a wide selection of gadgets and useful items for the installation such as cookers and heating systems.

HUELVA 16th of July – I have the pleasure to announce that the public gas lighting was inaugurated last night. The newly established Glasgow registered Huelva Gas Company Limited, managed by Mr. Charles Wilson Adam, invited the local public authorities and several other guests to meet at eight in the evening at the factory found on Vega Larga, road to Gibraleon, about half a kilometre from the Merced. Music was heard at the moment of turning on the new street lighting.

The Provincial Council, the Town Hall, Civil Government, Mercantile and Agricultural Circle, the organisation that represents the company and others, boasted shields composed of lights and allegorical decorations.

In the Mr. Tomas Garcia’s Cafe the guests were served a splendid buffet. Toasts were made in accordance with the occasion and the meeting finished at twelve o’clock.
